I Have a Heading Picture and A Give Away!!

OK. I warned you all I am not computer literate and can not take good pictures.
I lost my pictures a few weeks ago...DO NOT PRESS ON BUTTONS THAT YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY DO!!!!
I can not get those pictures back, so where the picture is supposed to be just use your imagination.
My sweet dear husband spent over two hours Sat. fixing my heading. I kept telling him the wrong information. I thought the favicon was my heading picture....it's not. A favicon is ....are you ready for this...a favorite icon. So instead of that orange B (shown in front of most blog addresses, Word press has a W) I have a picture of my 730 in glass.
I still need a new computer, or have my fixer husband clean this out which a I really do not think will help, it takes at least 5 minutes to boot up. After years of whiting, (a powder dust used to clean glass), glass chips stuck under some of the keys on the typing pad, and flecks of chemical dots I think it's almost time for a new one.

Just a short (looks long) recap of the past week:

Last Thursday was the quilt guild meeting...
Cindy C. was watching the meeting and knitting with hardly looking at her work (she probably knitted that sweater she is wearing too)! I can knit but I have to watch what I do, I already do enough reverse knitting when I do watch what I'm doing.
SEE, she's not even looking at what she is knitting!!!!

I like these patterns:
These blocks were assembled, cut, and reassembled to form this.

This will take a lot of time, making sure all points are correct.

I recieved my prizes for winning a blue ribbon for 'Fall Frolic' kitted as a BOM by Primitive Gatherings http://primitivegatherings.us

Do not think me ungrateful but let's just say the reward was not comparable to the award:
I did recieve a $25.00 gift card (the best gift in the package) to a local quilt shop, a bottle of 'Spray and Press', an oil pen, advertising rulers, a tote that held the stuff, a pantagram for longarming (I do not have that kind of machine), a bunch of free handouts that people got when they entered the quilt show:

A bunch of patterns, and a Quilt Navigator which I will never use...some fabric, and a pack of Poly batting....
How many of you out there use Poly batting and if so does it 'beard' for you??? I haven't used poly batting for several years.

(Opps...Freudian slip?!?)
So since I got all this stuff of which MOST I will NEVER use, I am offering a GIVE AWAY!
I am giving this pattern (A nice Christmas throw?):

and any other pattern  in the picture (just patterns) of your choice. All you have to do is be a follower, or become a follower and all names will be entered for a random drawing.

The Quilt Navigator I will be selling on EBAY. It would be a nice addition to your quilt guild's library.
So on Friday I took off again to make Tuna Noodle Casserole, rolls, and 5 pies (blueberry crumb, apple, cherry crumb, banana cream, and coconut cream) for a fund raising meal for the 'club'.
Yummy!
I found this roll recipe using all purpose flour and everyone said they were sooo good:

Sweet Dinner Rolls
  • PREP 20 mins
  • COOK 20 mins
  • READY IN 2 hrs20 mins
Ingredients
Original recipe makes 16 rolls
1/2 cup warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
1/2 cup warm milk
1 egg
1/3 cup butter, softened
1/3 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon salt
3 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 (.25 ounce) package active dry yeast
1/4 cup butter, softened
Directions
  1. Place water, milk, egg, 1/3 cup butter, sugar, salt, flour and yeast in the pan of the bread machine in the order recommended by the manufacturer. Select Dough/Knead and First Rise Cycle; press Start.
  2. When cycle finishes, turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Divide dough in half. Roll each half into a 12 inch circle, spread 1/4 cup softened butter over entire round. Cut each circle into 8 wedges. Roll wedges starting at wide end; roll gently but tightly. Place point side down on ungreased cookie sheet. Cover with clean kitchen towel and put in a warm place, let rise 1 hour. Meanwhile, preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  3. Bake in preheated oven for 10 to 15 minutes, until golden.

Just do not put more ingredients in your machine then it can handle or you will be cleaning it up:

I apologize for this post not being formatted very well but bear with me, I'm old and have to take 'baby steps' learning this stuff. Have a great week, L

Computers can be so frustrating at times can't they. But it feels good when you figure things out. That recipe looks great, I'll have to try it sometime. Congratulations on your win. That's a great giveaway but I'll decline from entering, I have so many projects I just know I wouldn't get around to making it. I'm happy to sign up as a follower though.
